On election night, we show up at the Board of Elections in person and post precinct results as they come in. The rest of the time, we pull commission votes, agenda items, and district records straight from public sources — and explain them in plain English.
So much of how Macon-Bibb is run happens the old-fashioned way — election results read aloud at the Board of Elections, commission votes buried in agendas nobody has time to read. None of it is hidden, exactly. It’s just hard to follow.
We just thought it’d be nice if folks could keep up without being in the room. So we track the elections, the commission votes, and the decisions in between — and put them here in plain English. A community project, for the community.
